New Zones in Tweegee Worlds

Our virtual world for kids also known as Tweegee Worlds just became larger this week with the release of a new major update.The update was uploaded into Tweegee.com (United States), Tvidi.ru (Russia) and Tipeez.com (Turkey).

In this update we added three new world zones: Pirate Ship, Ship Deck and the coral reef, which offer our users a new experience that takes them into the underwater life of Tweegee Worlds. Don't worry users will be equipped with underwater gear, to make chatting possible! There is no Lifeguard on Duty!What is so unique about these new zones is that each one of them is characterized with a specifically designed Smart Object which increases the interactivity of the users with the zone itself and with each other.

The "Pirate Ship" zone presents a detailed pirate ship wreckage, giving users the usual meeting and chatting place but also holds a little unique puzzle.The ship wreckage has a magical like sword gate (Smart Object) that a user must pass to board the ship itself.But in order gain access through the gate they must find the secret password code.The code is placed inside a glass bottle (Smart Object) which by selecting it reveals the password to the gate.The password is written in the chat pane, if it's correct the gate is open and the users may enter.

The "Ship Deck" zone presents the deck of the pirate ship, it holds two special Smart objects.The first is a live parrot skeleton which repeats the last sentence said by the users.The second is an underwater cannon operated by a Tweegee like pirate captain.By selecting the rope which is tied to the cannon, a cannon ball is released while the pirate captain shouts the name of the user who fired.

The "Coral Reef" zone presents a more girly designed environment and like the other two underwater zones also holds a unique Smart Object.Once the users write the name of a certain color, small icons in the color mentioned appear from the coral reef in the middle of the screen.

In conclusion these three new areas mark another step towards transforming the Tweegee World into a unique interactive environment that gives users unlimited hours of fun.

Tvidi.Ru – Promotes the Alice in Wonderland Movie

Tvidi.ru the Russian equivalent version of Tweegee.com kids portal, signed a few days ago a large promotion contract with the Walt Disney Media Corporation, about branding their upcoming movie Alice in Wonderland in the portal.

The branding of the movie (Due to come out at the 4th of March) will run on the portal during all its screening period in Russia. And it will take place at all the major features of the portal such as the home page banner, related articles, crazy messages system. In addition branded E-mails will be sent to all the users on the portal.

The branding campaign has enormous success at the portal, especially in the crazy messages feature where kids sent over 25,000 Alice in Wonderland crazy messages in the first three days of his launch.

Tvidi.Ru was launched at Russia at February 2009 and already populated with over half a million registered user with a number of 650,000 unique users every month. The site is the number one site for kids in Russia.

Tweegee Worlds - New version is up

After a lot of work we finally uploaded into Tweegee.com and Tvidi.ru a completely new version of our virtual world called Tweegee Worlds. The new version presents a complete graphical, conceptual and user experience makeover.

In the center of this makeover stands the addition of the user's private home, which basically means that every user has its own virtual space (home) in Tweegee Worlds. This private home can be redecorated both exteriorly and interiorly.

By spending Geez Tweegee virtual currency users can buy items such as wallpapers, floor surfaces, furniture, electronic devices and food items. After purchasing those virtual goods the user can redecorate the interior of his home, designing each and every bought item as he sees fit.

Additionally Users can purchase virtual animal friends from a lovely dog to a frightening fire breathing lizard. The user can interact with his animal friend by giving them commends straight from his chat pane. At this stage the animal friends can make simple actions but we believe that in later Tweegee Worlds versions, the user will be able to grow his animal friend and give it it's customized personality.

In addition users can purchase a different exterior look to their home, from a castle like home to a Wild West wood shack. Also the user can relocate his home in one out of four streets, each street has a different look.

Another important aspect in the new version is the ability to now support users with wide screens preferences (which are a common in every desktop computer nowadays). This new ability created the obvious requirement to redesign the graphics of the virtual world completely.

By doing this graphical redesign we touched every single aspect in the look and feel of Tweegee Worlds, starting from the world areas continuing with the world map and ending with the user navigation bar and user profile card.

Comics Maker - A New Application at Tweegee.com

A few days ago we launched a new application called Comics Maker at Tweegee.com. As the name implies the application enables Tweegee users to create their own comic cartoon strips with an online cartoon studio.

The comics maker features a pool of various cartoons like items such as: characters, landscapes, objects, monsters, animals, sound effects and music which can all be placed in the user's comics.

In addition the comics maker features various tools that enable the user to customize each and every aspect of the objects he is using such as: The positioning of the items, its size, facing, moment of entry and exit, sound effects of a certain object and the music that will follow the all comic strip.

Together all those elements sets up the comics maker as an application that enables kids to express themselves creatively by creating their own designed comic strips.

Moreover the comics maker features its own on-line page like channel that enables users to socially communicate with other kids by browsing for other cartoons, comment them, and share them with their friends.

Soon the comics maker will feature more tools and items that will make it as a creative on-line tool with endless possibilities.

Turkey - "The Largest and Most Engaged Online Audience in Europe"

A new ComScore research found last week that Turkey is one of the leading nations in web surfing and it's the "..Largest and Most Engaged Online Audience in Europe"



ComScore founds that users in Turkey spend much more time than other users in Europe in
an average page view of 3,004 where the rest of leading countries in Europe are surfing lower than 3,00.

furthermore the average users is surfing 32 hours a month !

as for today Turkey is the seventh largest country in internet use with 17.8 million visitors and turkey have more then 70M residents.

This is only part of the reasons why we choose to Launch our next Tweegee platform in Turkey.
Soon we will expose our brand name and logo in Turkey and more cool features.

Seems that we are still in the right business

Just got this new Article / research about Virtual Worlds and kids.
the bottom line - we are still in the right business.

The hype of virtual World for kids didn't even got to maximize itself.
I think that the Media and the researcher don't know how to make the distinction between Virtual World and Virtual Time Spending of the kids and what Tweegee is stand for.
Tweegee is much more than a Virtual Escape and more as Virtual time spending of the every day life activities kid do.

Anyway this is very good data that show the future growth of Virtual World for kids !

Tweegee Russia (tvidi.ru) just pass it's 100,000 user !

After 3 months of demanding but successful launch I wanted to share some statistic information of our success in Russia.

We just pass our 100,000 register user and we are growing in a very good pace.
Over 300,000 Unique kids are visiting us each month
We are an inch a way from our 1 Million visitor and the kids are browsing more then 9 Million pages !
